Combustion Music and friends teamed up with The USO for two shows this past weekend, February 13- 15, 2025. Thursday night, their songwriter round was featured as part of the Navy’s year-long celebration of it’s 250th anniversary at the world-famous IBar on San Diego’s Naval Station North Island. The next morning, they flew aboard CVN-68 USS Nimitz bringing entertainment to the sailors after over 40 days of training in the Pacific. “This is the third trip of which Combustion has had the honor of participating with our friends from The USO. An opportunity to bring entertainment to the men and women serving aboard these aircraft carriers is one we never take lightly. They sacrifice so much being away from their family and friends months and months at a time — 12 hours a day, seven days a week — rarely with any time off. These sailors deserve all the entertainment we can bring. We look forward to our next opportunity to give back.” says Keithan Melton, GM - Combustion Music.
Combustion Music Founder / President Chris Farren said, "I never thought in a million years I’d be landing on an air craft carrier in the middle of the Pacific, but this experience was not one to miss! And the hospitality and gratitude from the thousands of dedicated sailors on board made this a trip of a lifetime. Thank you USS Nimitz!”
